Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro Price in Nigeria
Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro Price in Nigeria and Where to buy- Once again, Samsung delivers on quality with the Galaxy J7 Pro. The J series often described as mid-range segment on which the Galaxy J7 Pro is based, provides a cheaper alternative to the more mainstream and more prestigious S series.

The J7 Pro first appeared on the tech market in the summer of July 2017 along with the Samsung Galaxy J3 and succeeds the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime. Equipped with the Android 7.0(Nougat) OS, Octal Core 1.6 GHz Cortez-A53 Processor, and the Mali-T830 MP1 on the Exynos 7870 Octa(14nm) chipset, the J7 Pro Provides a ‘semi super computer’ environment but doesn’t deviate much from its predecessor in terms of processor technology.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro is a significantly heavier phone than the Galaxy J7 Prime with a weight of 181g compared to 164g of the J7 Prime. This in my opinion is a minus since there is no significant improvement or difference in performance. It has a build consisting of a glass front, an aluminum back and frame with a dimension of 152.5 x 74.8 x 8mm. It comes with features such as a fingerprint sensor (which is becoming common place to be honest), gyro, accelerometer, proximity, compass and ANT+. It is also equipped with an 83.4cm2 Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1080p x 1920p. The phone comes with a 3GB RAM, 32GB and 64GB storage also with an option to increase with a microSDXC dedicated card slot.
The camera is also an impressive piece of work. The camera can be compared to that of the Redmi Note 4 as they both use the same imaging sensor (SonyIMX258). It comes with one main and one selfie camera both with a 13MP, LED flash and 1080p picture quality. The only difference being that the main camera offers panorama HDR images.
Network technologies available are WLAN, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and NFC. The NFC is interesting because the phone supports the Samsung Pay which works over NFC. The J7 Pro also becomes the first phone in the budget category to feature the full-fledged version of Samsung Pay. It also comes with GSM, HSPA and LTE technologies. It also has two options of SIM; single and double SIM models. The single SIM model uses Nano- SIM and the double SIM model uses the relatively new technology of dual Stand by and of course Nano-SIM.
The battery life of this device is also quite fair. With a Non-removable Li-ion 3600mAh, the phone offers an estimated battery life of up to a full day of talk time and music play of 91 hours. This is very impressive considering more expensive phones like the iPhone X don’t even offer near that kind of battery performance and also provides an improvement on the J7 Prime.
Comparing the prices on Jumia and Konga for the Nigerian market, the J7 Pro goes for 91,900 naira on Jumia and for 98,000 naira on Konga and comes in any of Black, Gold and Rose Gold colours.
Concluding this review, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro indeed offers some slight improvement on the J7 Prime in terms of the camera, the battery life but generally provides the same service which is my major criticism of this product. Asides that, it is an affordable yet reliable smartphone that seems to cover your basic smartphone needs like texting, internet connection and great music.
